All of our actions
point toward the truth of the universe.
We cannot truly be separated.
For existence itself
is a form of witchcraft.
Just as piano improvisation
can give birth to a composition in an instant,
it too is a kind of witchcraft.
This is how this series of works came into being:
Improvisation.
Improvised piano.
Improvised poetry.
Separation is an illusion.
Every beginning and every ending—
thunder,
mountains,
islands,
light,
the sea...
all arise,
burn,
and flow
within the same consciousness.
Behind them all
is the universe`s single melody.
This album-poetry trilogy
is a map.
The music and the words
do not necessarily mean the same thing.
Yet they are two paths
leading to the same place.

專輯藝人介紹

江佳蓁是一位以即興為核心，創作橫跨音樂與文學的藝術家。

她畢業於德國漢諾威音樂戲劇與傳媒大學（Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover, HMTMH）鋼琴系，並獲最高演奏家文憑（Konzertexamen）。其後獲得新英格蘭音樂學院（NEC）與舊金山音樂學院（SFCM）雙獎學金，赴美至 SFCM 深造作曲。

她將鋼琴即興、作曲、詩歌與小說視為同一創造力在不同媒介中的顯現，並將這種創作方法稱為「生命即興」。對她而言，不同藝術形式並非彼此分離，而是在創作過程中相互生成、彼此映照。

她曾於風潮音樂發行八張個人專輯，作品獲全球音樂獎（Global Music Awards）金獎，並多次入選長榮航空機上音樂。自2025年起，受邀擔任柏林史塔克藝術基金會（Stiftung Starke Foundation）駐地藝術家，持續投入音樂、文學與跨領域藝術創作。

Chia-Chen Chiang is a Taiwanese artist whose practice is rooted in improvisation, spanning music and literature.

Trained in Germany, she graduated from the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien Hannover (HMTMH) with the Konzertexamen, the highest performance diploma. She later received scholarships from both the New England Conservatory (NEC) and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music (SFCM), ultimately pursuing advanced studies in composition at SFCM.

Chiang regards piano improvisation, composition, poetry, and fiction as different manifestations of the same creative force expressed through different artistic forms. She describes this creative approach as Life Improvisation. Rather than existing as separate disciplines, these forms continuously shape and illuminate one another throughout her artistic practice.

She has released eight albums with Wind Music, received a Gold Medal from the Global Music Awards, and has been featured multiple times in EVA Air`s in-flight music selections. Since 2025, she has been an artist-in-residence at the Stiftung Starke Foundation in Berlin, where she continues to develop new work across music, literature, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

II. Night Crossing

In a night
